On 20 November, ArcelorMittal opened the doors of its Research and Development centre in Montataire to its French automotive customers. Around 60 delegates from the major industry actors in the country were present.

From 21 to 25 October 2014 ArcelorMittal was present at EuroBLECH in Hanover with innovative products and solutions for the automotive industry through partnerships with other companies and associations.

On Thursday 16 October 2014, the International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG) held its annual seminar. Our colleague Nicolas Rouet, Marketing Manager for Automotive Europe, was invited to give a conference about the future of galvanized steel products.

More than 300 of the world’s leading automotive engineers and researchers, automotive suppliers and industry executives gathered at Ford in Dearborn for the 33rd annual International Auto Body Congress (IABC) on October 29-30. ArcelorMittal Global R&D’s Tom Wormald, principal project manager – steel solutions, led the session titled “Mass reduction for steel pickup structures,” which further defined our S-in motion Steel PickUp, a project that helps automotive manufacturers meet fuel economy targets for pick-ups.

More than 30 years after the first coil was produced, MartINsite® is still evolving as a range of steel products, and is in high demand from automotive customers.
