ArcelorMittal showcased some of its breakthrough long steel products for the automotive industry during the recent 2016 global “Wire and Tube” trade fair in Düsseldorf (Germany). They include Solam® B1100 forging steel which can be utilised for the production of heavy parts with a diameter between 30 and 110 mm.

Berlin, May 2016 –ArcelorMittal has announced its electrical steel data will be available to use in simulation software used to design electrical machines. The cooperation with JMAG, announced at the Coil Winding Expo CWIEME in Berlin this week, offers a unique opportunity for electrical machine manufacturers to shorten the lead time of their new designs, reduce the number of prototypes and decrease overall development costs. For ArcelorMittal this offers a more direct link to machine engineers.
Detroit, May 11, 2016 - ArcelorMittal has launched a new set of S-in motion® lightweight steel solutions at the occasion of the Great Designs in Steel conference in Detroit on May 11, 2016. S-in motion® Mid-size Sedan and SUV solutions can help carmakers achieve a 20% to 26% body structure weight reduction compared to representative 2015 North American Mid-size Sedans and SUVs . These solutions are designed for a multi-vehicle platform and have already been rolled out to some individual OEMs over the last months.
