Last May ArcelorMittal Europe – Long products participated in the “New developments in forging technology” conference, also known as NEMU (Neuere Entwicklungen in der Massivumformung) in near Stuttgart (Germa­ny).

Last month, VAMA (Valin ArcelorMittal Automotive Steel Co., Ltd VAMA) hosted a Customer Day at its automotive steel plant in Loudi, China. More than 200 customer representatives from OEMs and tier-one suppliers attended the event which focused on the leading automotive steel products and solutions that VAMA offers to help make further progress in lightweight automotive design and production. This event also demonstrated the steady progress VAMA accomplished during the past year as well as showcased its readiness in terms of facilities, products, services and people and its preparedness for more partnerships and growth opportunities in the Chinese market.

ArcelorMittal was present at the SAE Brasil Car Body Symposium 2015 which was held at São Paulo on 10 June 2015. This second SAE Brasil Car Body is inspired by the world famous Euro Car Body event in Germany and was organised by SAE Brazil (Society of Automotive Engineers) at the IPT (Brazilian Institute of Technology) in São Paulo.

Carmakers showcase innovative AHSS lightweight solutions for their new vehicles at GDIS Nearly 1,300 leaders from the automotive and steel industries gathered at the 14th annual Great Designs in Steel (GDIS) seminar in Livonia, outside of Detroit (USA), last month to discuss the latest trends in steel usage for vehicles. Hosted by the Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI), the day-long event was kicked off by a welcome speech from ArcelorMittal’s Brad Davey, Chief Marketing Officer of ArcelorMittal North America Flat Rolled.
