ArcelorMittal’s St-Chély d'Apcher mill achieves an A rating – the highest possible – in two VDA audits conducted by carmaker Volkswagen and Tier-1 supplier Kienle + Spiess. ArcelorMittal St Chély d'Apcher is the state-of-the-art facility where the iCARe® range of innovative electrical steels for the automotive market are produced.

The Bamesa Tanger steel service centre – a JV between ArcelorMittal and Bamesa – helps our customers to strongly reduce their stocks, improve the efficiency and quality of their operations and avoid costly shutdowns.

More than 300 of the world’s leading automotive engineers and researchers, automotive suppliers and industry executives gathered at Ford in Dearborn for the 33rd annual International Auto Body Congress (IABC) on October 29-30. ArcelorMittal Global R&D’s Tom Wormald, principal project manager – steel solutions, led the session titled “Mass reduction for steel pickup structures,” which further defined our S-in motion Steel PickUp, a project that helps automotive manufacturers meet fuel economy targets for pick-ups.
