ArcelorMittal has launched a new app for smartphones and tablets which puts the company’s European automotive catalogue at your fingertips.

On Thursday April 21st, ArcelorMittal inaugurated a new walking beam furnace in its hot strip mill in Ghent (Belgium) to produce a new generation of steel products for the automotive industry.

Representatives from ArcelorMittal’s automotive group were in Detroit for the 2016 SAE World Congress, a leading automotive industry event held April 12-14.

Since initial rollout, ArcelorMittal’s S-in motion® lightweight steel solutions have assisted OEMs achieve significant body-structure weight reductions in production vehicles. Building upon its existing C-segment Sedan and Pickup Truck solutions, the S-in motion® range is now being extended to Mid-size Sedans and SUVs for the first time in a multi-vehicle platform.

ArcelorMittal has been invited to contribute to the 20th edition of Metal Bulletin's Zinc & its Markets Seminar that will take place on 9-11 May 2016 in Madrid, Spain.

ArcelorMittal showcased some of its breakthrough long steel products for the automotive industry during the recent 2016 global “Wire and Tube” trade fair in Düsseldorf (Germany). They include Solam® B1100 forging steel which can be utilised for the production of heavy parts with a diameter between 30 and 110 mm.
