ArcelorMittal at EuroCarBody 2015

Anticipating the market needs in car body engineering

ArcelorMittal was participating in the 17th edition of EuroCarBody, the global car body benchmarking conference that took place in Bad Nauheim (Frankfurt, Germany) from 20 to 22 October 2015. ArcelorMittal presented its wide range of innovative steel solutions and products for the automotive industry on the stands 1 and 2 in the Kurhausfoyer hall.


Visitors could discover on the ArcelorMittal stand the most advanced steel grades and solutions to respond to any current and future needs in car body engineering, including:

  • S-in motion®, a set of steel solutions to make vehicles lighter and reduce their CO2 emissions, without compromising safety and at the most affordable cost
  • Usibor® 2000, the steel for hot stamping with the highest tensile strength, developed to save weight in structural and safety components
  • Solutions based on laser welded blanks technology for cold stamping and for hot stamping using Usibor® and Ductibor® steels to obtain improved crash performance and weight savings on structural parts such as B-pillar, front rail and door ring
  • Fully tailored package of tubes and components based on customer specifications, such as the solutions for Crash Extension in Low Path that allow weight and cost reduction
