Chrysler Pacifica - First minivan to earn 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick+
ArcelorMittal developed a state-of-the-art five seam Hot Stamped Door Ring and a one seam Hot Stamped B-pillar inner for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The door ring and the B-pillar, both made of Usibor® 1500 and Ductibor® 500, is manufactured in the Woodstock plant (Ontario). The strong side structure helped the Pacifica win the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, especially helping with a "GOOD" performance in the small overlap test.

April 8, 2014 – ArcelorMittal, Honda and Magna’s Cosma International announced today that a joint nomination for the 2014 Automotive News PACE Awards was selected as the winner in the ‘Manufacturing Process and Capital Equipment’ category for the industry’s first laser-welded, hot-stamped door ring in the 2014 Acura MDX.
