Frédéric Painchault, head of marketing and pricing for ArcelorMittal Global Automotive and Mobility Solutions, will present a paper at the third International Zinc Conference to be held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) from 15-17 May 2019. During his presentation, Frédéric Painchault will outline the role steel will play in existing and emerging mobility technologies such as hybrid, fuel cell, and clean diesel. As they evolve and become commercially viable these technologies will affect the mix of powertrains available to consumers.
Frédéric Painchault will begin by outlining the seven revolutions that are changing the automotive industry forever, and the role steel will play. Five of these revolutions – market divergence, emission regulations, connectivity, digitalization, and customer behaviour are already affecting the industry. The remaining two – car sharing and autonomous mobility – will affect the future of mobility in the mid- to long-term.
During the presentation, Painchault will also outline ArcelorMittal’s extensive range of zinc-based coatings. Developed by ArcelorMittal for the automotive market, these coatings meet carmaker’s requirements on corrosion, stamping behaviour, and cost.
Frédéric Painchault’s presentation will take place on 17 May at 14.00 at the International Zinc Conference – Europe, to be held at the Imperial Plovdiv Hotel and Spa. All delegates to the event are invited to attend.
