A truly global presence
ArcelorMittal operates Global R&D centers in Europe, North and South America, six of which are dedicated to automotive products, applications and processes. In 2021, ArcelorMittal spent US$ 271 million on R&D, around one-third of which was dedicated to automotive.
In the automotive sector, ArcelorMittal is the leading producer of automotive steels, supplying around 17% of the total worldwide market.
Our business is built around creating smart steels and solutions and making them available wherever our customers operate. ArcelorMittal has a truly global presence with automotive operations in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North and South America. This keep us close to our customers – wherever they are located – and enables us to provide them with global solutions.
