ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration® and other innovative steel automotive solutions exhibited at three major German exhibitions

In October 2024, ArcelorMittal showcased its range of smart steel solutions for automotive, including ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration® solutions, at three industry leading automotive events across Germany: The Internationale Zuliefererbörse (International Suppliers Fair IZB), EuroCarBody, and EuroBLECH

EuroCarBody

15 – 17 October, Bad Nauheim

The 26th edition of EuroCarBody brought together car body engineers and suppliers from around the globe for a showcase of the latest innovations in car body engineering. Participants had the chance to assess current developments in engineering, performance, and production. OEMs and suppliers such as ArcelorMittal were there to present their cutting-edge projects to industry experts.

EuroCarBody also featured a dedicated exhibition area where visitors could view car bodies and ask any questions to the teams involved. Our Automotive and Tailored Blanks teams showcased our ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration® solutions in the exhibition area. And ArcelorMittal discussed about how the automotive production process can be simplified and how weight, safety and cost challenges for the e-mobility of the future can be achieved with innovative steel solutions.

We showcased our advanced steel solutions for automotive body-in-white (BIW), battery pack, and chassis applications, demonstrating how ArcelorMittal is driving innovation and sustainability in the mobility sector. The ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration® (MPI) concept was a central highlight at our stands, showcasing how we streamline vehicle manufacturing by integrating multiple vehicle parts into a single laser-welded blank (LWB). This innovative approach simplifies production while advancing sustainability through weight reduction and cost savings.

Usibor® 1500, produced with XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel, served as a prime example of how we’re supporting the transition to more sustainable mobility. This steel is manufactured using high levels of recycled content and 100% renewable electricity via the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) process. Additionally, our MartINsite® steels, used for bumpers safety or to protect battery packs, emphasized strength, durability, and reduced carbon footprints, reinforcing our commitment to safe and sustainable electric vehicle solutions.
