Project Arrow presented in January at CES 2023 in Las Vegas
Project Arrow incorporates several groundbreaking technologies, prominently featuring the ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration™ (MPI) technology, a significant contribution from ArcelorMittal. ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks North America played a key role in co-engineering the vehicle design, working closely with the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation and Ontario Tech. This collaboration aimed to define the design space for the Body in White (BIW), sub-systems, passenger area, and battery pack.
For the BIW development, over 60 components were consolidated into 11 MPI Laser Welded Blanks (LWBs), showcasing the cutting-edge contributions of ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks North America.
This integration of ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration™ with Laser Welded Blanks represents an innovative steel solution that aligns with the automotive industry's demand for low-emission vehicles and simplification.
