Leading automotive customers recognise VAMA for quality, collaboration and innovation
12 February 2026 - VAMA, ArcelorMittal's joint venture in China, has recently received three customer awards from leading automotive OEMs and tier-one suppliers in China, highlighting its strong partnerships and technical capabilities in the automotive steel market.
In 2025 and early 2026, VAMA was honoured by Ningbo Huaxiang Group (NBHX), Benteler, and Changan Ford, reflecting recognition across different segments of the automotive value chain.

VAMA is a joint venture between Hunan Steel Group and ArcelorMittal, specialising in the production of advanced automotive steels for the Chinese market.
Leveraging leading automotive steel production technologies, VAMA supplies a full range of automotive steel grades with an annual production capacity of approximately 2 million tonnes. Through close collaboration with customers, VAMA supports the Chinese automotive industry in developing vehicles that are lighter, safer, and more cost-effective.
